Hatch: An Art Party + Laura Hickli Album Launch (Music, dance and art night)

Hatch is less a straight concert than a mixed-media night, with live music and dance staged alongside visual-art surprises. At its centre is Laura Hickli, a classically trained pianist and multi-instrumentalist whose art pop favours unusual arrangements over radio structure. Her full-length debut, Stranger To Myself, is due Oct. 16 and traces grief, trauma and recovery after a 2023 tour-van crash, so Friday is her release-week launch. Also on the bill are Touching, the solo project of songwriter and producer Michael Falk, Hermitess, Cuban-born dancer and choreographer Mara Liao Esnard, dancer Catherine Hayward, flutist Jiajia Li, trumpeter Andre Wickenheiser and Dene multidisciplinary artist Casey Koyzcan. It's an all-ages event.
