Danielle Dayton Album Release Live at Festival Hall, 1215 10 Avenue SE Calgary, Alberta Show at 8pm, Doors at 7pm$30 in advance, $35 at the door A decade in the making, Danielle Dayton's debut full-length album is a labor of love that captures the bird’s eye view of her twenties with honesty and heart. The album explores themes of self-acceptance, rediscovering ambition, and the quiet determination to hold onto dreams while navigating the realities of adulthood.

Winnipeg’s Grant Davidson explores human vulnerability around themes of love, loss, death, connection, loneliness, family, memory and time. His folk and psych-rock inclinations, rooted fingerpicking traditions, are unbound in today’s post-genre landscape. “I don’t write sad songs, I write lonely songs,” he muses regarding his record, In Solitude, For Company. Through this honest expression, listeners find comfort knowing that none of us are truly alone, there’s beauty in vulnerability and poetry lives in the most banal of moments.

Hatch:An Art Party On October 9 at Festival Hall, Hatch:An Art Party brings dance, visual art, new discoveries and surprises, transforming Festival Hall into an entirely new experience. It features Touching, the artistic alias of songwriter and producer Michael Falk; Hermitess; Cuban-born dancer, educator, and choreographer Mara Liao Esnard; dancer, choreographer, and producer Catherine Hayward; flutist, improvisor, composer, curator and Ginger Beef co-leader Jiajia Li; creative trumpeter and collaborator André Wickenheiser and Dene multidisciplinary artist Casey Koyzcan.
