Calgary Weekend Edition

A curated weekly dispatch on what to do in YYC, every Thursday.

By Jamie · From Edgemont

343 events4 daysSat high —Sunset —

Editor’s Note

Thanksgiving weekend is when Calgary's summer places start closing up for the year. Calaway Park and Heritage Park's Historical Village both have their final day of 2026 on Monday, Saturday brings the zoo's last Polar Bear Breakfast and Butterfield Acres' last petting-zoo visit to Crossroads, and the Saddledome has hockey on all four days. Halloween is moving in at the same time, with ScreamFest opening its haunted houses Friday, and if someone else is cooking the turkey this year, the zoo and Thomsons both have Sunday covered.
