Puptoberfest (Dog festival)
Dog costume fashion show, free mini-grooms
Puptoberfest is East Village's free fall festival for dog owners, part of the neighbourhood's year-round East Village Live series, and this year it's at a new spot, RiverWalk Plaza. The fan-favourite dog fashion show is back at 2 PM, hosted by Kylee Roman, with dogs walking a runway in costume. Clever Canines runs an agility course, Grooming with Tamara does free nail trims and 10-minute mini-grooms, and DJ Ivan Rankic plays. Rescues including the Calgary Humane Society, AARCS and Parachutes for Pets are on site, along with pet-shop pop-ups, caricatures by Rob Milton and the Family Fry Guy food truck.
