This weekend is full of firsts and lasts. Calgary Opera opens its season with Tosca, the Calgary Phil premieres a Bollywood show nobody has seen before, the Stampeders play their last home game with the playoffs on the line, and MarketSpot brings a night market back to Tomkins Park for the first time in about ten years. Halloween keeps building too, from 10,000 carved pumpkins at WinSport to a 100-year-old silent Faust with a live organ score at Studio Bell.

Calgary Stampeders vs. BC Lions
The Stampeders' last home game of the regular season is a must-win. Calgary is 8-9 and level on points with Winnipeg and Saskatchewan, who each have a game in hand, so the Stamps need a win over BC and some help to reach the playoffs. It's also the Pink Power game for the Alberta Cancer Foundation, so wear pink, and the free East Fan Zone tailgate opens two hours before kickoff.
