theWALK.ca Thanksgiving Monday Walk & Dance Party (Free 5 km walk and DJ dance hour)

theWALK.ca turns Thanksgiving Monday morning into a community walk with a food-bank cause. Check-in comes with free event T-shirts, coffee and snacks, then a group fitness warm-up and the national anthem before walkers head out on a 5 km route along the south Bow River pathway, starting and finishing at Eau Claire Plaza. It's explicitly not a race, and organizers say it's for all ages and fitness levels. Back at the plaza, thePOWER hour is an outdoor dance party led by DJ Jason from Dance! Shout!, followed by a food-truck brunch, partner tents, a photo booth and a closing celebration. Bring non-perishable food for the Calgary Food Bank.
