A Concrete Jungle Book (StoryBook Theatre musical, ages 10+)
Kipling's jungle reset in a rule-bound city
A Concrete Jungle Book is an original musical StoryBook Theatre first conceived for its 40th season and is staging now, in its 50th, with Forte Musical Theatre Guild. It borrows Kipling's story but trades the jungle for a city shaped by rules, hierarchy and survival, where a young person searches for belonging and family and has to decide which rules deserve to be followed. StoryBook recommends it for ages 10 and up, and it runs 120 minutes including intermission. The run continues through Oct. 31.
