So Long Pluto (Kids' space musical at CIFF)

So Long Pluto (Au revoir Pluton) is a 2025 Quebec children's musical and the first feature from director Sarianne Cormier. Pluto, the little world famously demoted to dwarf-planet status, dreams of joining the solar system's official dance troupe, helped by her asteroid friend Ceres and Clyde Tombaugh, the astronomer who discovered her. Sarah-Jeanne Audet makes her screen debut as Pluto, and filmmaker Matthew Rankin has a cameo. It runs 96 minutes in French with English subtitles, worth knowing for kids who don't read yet. CIFF has no streaming option, doors open 45 minutes early and seating is first come.
