A Fox on the Fairway (Golf-club stage farce)

A farce is a fast comedy built on mistaken identities, slamming doors and secrets colliding, and this one is set among the members and staff of the fictional Quail Valley golf club. Six actors carry it, three women and three men, and it runs about two hours. American playwright Ken Ludwig, known for Lend Me a Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo, wrote it as a tribute to 1930s and '40s English farces, and the organizer compares its pace to the Marx Brothers. Calgary community company Morpheus Theatre stages it in its 32nd season. Construction is squeezing Pumphouse parking, so arrive 20 to 30 minutes early.
