Night Light (Free light art festival)
Night Light is a free, all-ages outdoor art festival run by the Victoria Park business district with Calgary studio B!G ART, now in its fourth year. More than 40 artists from Calgary and beyond fill five sites around Central Memorial Park and Victoria Park, and you wander between them on foot. The TUNNEL is a corridor of 4-metre light-and-sound frames. Prairie Fire is a rearing aluminum horse whose nostrils ignite at the push of a button, and TAGUAR is a 1960 Jaguar that visitors tag with laser graffiti. Heart-to-Heart turns two strangers' heartbeats into light, and the Yellow Dubmarine is a tiny dance floor with local DJs inside an old Winnebago. Dogs are welcome.
