Alberta Disney Fans Fall Festival (Free Disney fan meet-up)
Alberta Disney Fans is an unofficial, fan-run group, not connected to The Walt Disney Company, that holds free meet-ups at New Horizon Mall, the big indoor market hall in Balzac just north of Calgary. Saturday is its fall festival, and the day is built around costumed princesses posing for photos, face painting and pin trading, the Disney-fan hobby of swapping collectible enamel pins. Local vendors and resellers sell Disney-inspired merchandise and handmade crafts, and the mall says you can pick up tips on travelling to the parks. Entry and parking are free, though the mall can't be reached by public transit.
