LAFF 2026 - Opening Reception at Ramada Plaza (Latin American film festival launch)

LAFF is the HAS Latin American Film Festival, a new two-night festival from the Hispanic Arts Society, a Calgary non-profit incorporated in 1987 to promote Hispanic music, dance and visual arts. This reception opens the first edition. It is set up as a red-carpet evening, with photos by a professional photographer, hors d'oeuvres, a celebratory toast and special guests, and it is the chance to meet filmmakers and organizers before the screenings begin. Admission is free, but every guest needs a reserved ticket, so reserve before going. The opening-night film follows at 9 PM at Globe Cinema, directly across 8 Avenue, on a separate ticket.
