Eastside Studio Crawl (Open artist studios)

A studio crawl is a self-guided open house: instead of visiting a gallery, you walk between buildings where artists actually work and see their tools, their space and pieces in progress. More than 80 artists take part across six Ramsay and Inglewood locations, Burns Visual Arts Society, Artpoint, The New Blank, Workshop Studios, 500 Collective and newcomer NVRLND. Burns, one of Western Canada's longest-running artist collectives at 47 years, has hosted the crawl for 23 of them, and its site adds live music, door prizes, a silent auction and an outdoor community art project visitors can join. Admission is free and families are welcome, and the organizer posts a map of all six stops.
