BORN to Read: A Book Fair for Adults
Books, pizza and beer replace classroom nostalgia
Born Brewing sets up its taproom in the Manchester industrial area like an old-school school book fair with a grown-up twist, and this is the second year it has done it. Owl's Nest Books, which calls itself Calgary's oldest bookstore, brings a curated selection plus gifts for book lovers, and the Calgary Public Library Foundation is on hand to talk about its work supporting the city's libraries. There is a cozy reading nook for starting your new book on the spot, a book and beer pairing menu, and Snowman Pizza serving all afternoon, with the taproom's own pretzels and snacks too. There are no tickets and no RSVP, so come any time before it wraps at 5 PM.
